Scavenging Amazon Echo power packs for LiPos - copying Big Clive - SHORTER VIDEO. Big Clive spotted these Amazon Echo kits in Poundland and stripped them down to pinch the LiPo batteries. That inspired me to have a go, I bought two and now I have two 2S 10,000 mAh batteries for £5 each that I need to find a use for 🤔 Big Clive's video on this subject - Scavenging a THICC lithium cell from a Poundland ALEXA charger - /watch/0lxjwkCgBE6gj There are a couple of issues you need to be aware of when using LiPo's. First they can catch fire if abused so I suggest you read up about them. Second you need the right sort of charger so make sure you have the right one if you buy some Lipo's. As for which battery will work with which car the simple fact is LiPo batteries are in units of 3.7 volts, so you have 3.7 or 7.4 or 11.1 or 14.8 and so on. If your existing car runs on AA or AAA batteries they are in units of 1.5 volts so 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 and so on. Changing to a LiPo battery means you will not be matching the voltage exactly, you will either over volt it or under volt it. The car will have been designed with a certain amount of tolerance so if you find the closest match it might work or it might not. Worst case it will over power it and the motor or receiver board will overheat and burn out, maybe with lots of flames and potential fire damage to your home. Most people who overpower their toy car have a very fast car for 5 minutes and then a very dead car for the rest of the time.
