Keeping the friendship with Growing Grounds of course! 08:01 Could you please do a series like the Royal Botanical Gardens but for private collections of other plant hobbyist/collectors? 09:03 A more in depth focus on which plants best for moss poles and getting typical small pots started vertically. 11:15 My only question is, how is Brad doing? Is he settling in well? Does he like the outdoor space? Has he tried to escape and explore the outside world yet? 12:35 At this point in your journey, do you have any plants that you have that you do not like as much as you use to and what do you plan to do with them? 14:31 How do you know when to repot? I know that sounds like a rudimentary question but so many of your huge plants are in itty bitty living spaces and I’m in awe. 16:31 Jan, I have been on the hype train of AI lately. GPT-4 was released last month to the public with an plus account. GPT-4 can now understand images and can express logical ideas about them. 18:26 What's your next plant acquisition? What plant do you want next? 19:12 Would it be a good idea to plant a small rooted cutting in the same pot as a bigger plant, if I want a fuller look of the species. Or would the size of the smaller cutting just loose the nutrient to the more mature plant roots? 20:10 How do you decide between a classic and a grow vertical moss pole for a plant when potting it up? 21:54 If you could change anything about the (rare) houseplant collector world, what would it be? 25:59 If you're taking a mature monstera and transplanting to your aroid mix and moss pole setup, what is the best way to get the existing aerial roots growing into the pole? 28:00 I really enjoyed the vlog style content when you were moving. Did it have an effect on your channel one way or the other? 31:20 Is your Passion of growing mature plants influenced by your Passion of enjoying wild Nature? 33:22 Do you ever reuse your potting mix? If so do you do anything special to bolster it? 34:06 What do you do with your moss pole plants when you go on vacation for two weeks? Will they be okay if the moss dries out? 35:24 So I’m actually kinda curious, I gather you’re from Germany and live in Sydney but I’ve noticed a few different New York Yankees hats you wear a lot, is there anything else you like about the states? 36:41 Back up question, do you have any other passions other than plants & photography? 38:10 What has been the most surprising or pleasant thing about your move? 38:20 How do you prevent insects from getting into your apartment? Or does your cat take care of them? 39:33 How do you maximise a small space if you love having big plants? 39:45 How do you take care of your moss poles? How often do you moisture them? What does the maintenance look like? 41:10 How do you manage plant things and normal life balance? D 43:00 When putting a plant in aroid mix, do you initially water the mixture as well since it's all dry ingredients? 43:24 Where did you get your measuring device with the blue squeeze bulb lid/cap for the GT Foliage Focus? If the answer is 'Bunnings', do you know of an equivalent source for your USA subscribers? 44:15 Hi, are all Anthuriums climbers if given a vertical support? Thanks. 44:43 Any suggestions on how I can help my p. Verrucosum to attach to its mosspole? All my other philos are doing great except my Verrucosum. 45:18 A bit of a lighthearted comment, how many bottles of Foliage Focus do you go through in a month? 47:32 Can you recommend a substitute for sand in your aroid mix? 47:54 How do you care for your blood banana indoors? I know they need a ton of light 48:39 What is the PH & EC of water u uses for pot plants 49:05 What is the temperature & RH surround the planting area. 50:02 Why New philodendron leaves stay curl/won't open and sometimes break (often in P. Melanochrysium)? 51:02 How we are obtain packets of moss I'm Sri Lankan note to us where from .. 52:55 Can you send a canna Stuttgart to Stuttgart ?

@suepowell500811 months ago Hi! Many years ago i was running a greenhouse for retail sales and interior plantscaping. That all went on the back burner for about 30 years while i id="hidden12"raised my family. Now, retired, i have recently moved to florida and have gotten back into plants. I was surprised by the aroid craze, especially since i had never even heard of the word. When i was in the biz, we had 2 aglaonemias, 2 pothos, and a couple of philodendrons. I can remember when philodendron xanadu first came out and the sensation it caused. These days i still find myself drawn to the old favorites, although i do have a manjula pothos and a philo brazil. I love buying my plants small and growing them. It makes me sad to hear you don' t think the states are safe any more. I can see how you might feel that way, as some of our cities have really gone down the drain. However, i live on the gulf coast of florida in an area referred to as " the nature coast" and i can tell you i feel completely safe, as i did in my former home of southern new jersey before i moved here 2 months ago. If you ever get the urge to swim with manatees ( related to the dugong) my husband and i would be happy to host you!. ...Expand 1
