Simple Cabbage Poriyal
Cut a small whole cabbage into four parts
Thinly slice each part of the cabbage.
Wash sliced cabbage in running cold water using a colander.
Let it sit in the colander till the excess water drains out. Shake the colander couple of times before adding it to the pot for cooking.
Recipe
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 2 tsp
Chana dal - 2 tsp
Fry’m till the dal turns golden
Green chilies - 4 nos (slit)
Curry leaves
Onion - 1 medium sized (thinly sliced)
Chopped cabbage
Stir fry in medium heat till the cabbage turns tender (3 mins max)
Salt to taste
Give it a couple of stirs
Grated coconut - handful
Turn off heat
Mix well and done 🤗
(Do not cover and cook / no water added)
