@TheGreekPianistlast year That loud roaring sound Titanic makes always gives me chills. It’s so sad, like Titanic herself is crying out for help. Watching the sinking scenes in theaters last February is something I’ll never forget 😢 ... 573

@SirCraigiuslast year : Can only imagine what it would be like sitting in one of those lifeboats, powerless to do anything but watch as the Titanic's stern rose into the air like that, hearing all the screaming and cries for help and silently thanking god that you were safe on the lifeboat, rather than trapped like all those poor souls :( ... 352

@samalvey816811 months ago The noise the ship makes, like she's alive and groaning in pain, is terrifying to hear. She's being put through unimaginable stresses that her design was never meant to accomodate, so you know she's not far off from finally and literally snapping. ... 93

@luxurynoob2247last year Ladies and Gentlemen, The man seen at is actually the famous titanic survivor John prentice. After not being able to get onboard a lifeboat, He would leave his mates along with his buddy Cyril Ricks. He is seen jumping off the ship which is actually what he did as for he explained in a interview about the disaster. And at you can see Johns friend, Cyril Ricks leaping into the water, Or at least he hoped so. While Cyril was falling he did not reach out far enough and would unfortunately strike the propeller blades, Knocking him unconscious as he dropped into the water like a stone. His buddy John was only able to watch in horror seeing the shadow of his mate scream jumping into the water only to hear a loud TUNG noise and the scream went silent. He swam over just to see his body laying froze in the water. After the ship had plunged under the sea. Lifeboat 4 would eventually drag John up onto the boat, Making him live to tell the tale. ... 186

@Peekaricalast year Imagine if Titanic's sister ship Olympic was much closer to the sinking place. How crazy would it have been if passengers from the Olympic saw the same ship sinking as the ship they are standing on. It would have been a traumatized view. ... 106

@aaronjones72603 months ago This scene. Not jack dying in the water. This is the scene that evokes my tears and sorrow. Because this was the reality. I can’t even imagine what it must have been like that night, knowing that you’re going to die in the most horrible way imaginable, and there is nothing you can do about it. RIP to all the passengers and crew of the RMS Titanic 😢 ... 5
  • @
@plusplusplusplusplast year I think is one of the best shots in the movie. The ship has been sinking gradually for ages, with the propellers in the water as they should be. Now they are suddenly lofted into the air, so suddenly that they are still dripping. In those days, there were no action movies or video games. The sight of an ocean liner rearing up into the sky above your head would have been even more terrifying than what it would be to us. We've seen that sort of thing in the movies - they hadn't. The officer breaks the stunned silence by imploring the passengers to row for their lives, because the biggest ship in the world is about to go down and suck them with it. ... 150

@BLTKellyslast year Who is the dead woman underwater in the first class lounge? Did she refuse to put a lifebelt on and go back to bed, being woken up by the flooding and finding herself trapped as she desperately tried to get to the boat deck? She’s not wearing anything on her feet so she obviously had no time to get ready. She must have gotten trapped in the lounge and drowned. ... 327

@ryyyan47957 months ago I’ve seen some recent visualizations of the sinking that have this entire sequence, from the first funnel falling to the break up, happening in barely a minute and a half. Imagine. Just a few unbelievably terrifying moments from the first realization that shit has really hit the fan, to not being able to see anything and what’s left of the ship violently rocking.
Though what James Cameron did here was unbelievable, perhaps another high-budget interpretation of Titanic would focus more on how disorienting and chaotic the end truly was.

@Peekaricalast year Its hard to believe that Titanic sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic 111 years ago this year. The Lusitania and Mauretania which were the largest ships in the world before Olympic in 1911, crossed the Atlantic Ocean multiple times without encountering icebergs in dark cold nights. We can only imagine how the world would have been if Titanic survived and would sail for many more years with her sisters Olympic and Britannic. Without Titanic's sinking, it is believed that Britannic would had been completed in 1913, following her maiden voyage in the same year or early 1914. ... 32

@Green-Star-Line6 months ago heres some random testimony i made up about the movie.
"I was in the lifeboat. The Titanic seemed to stop for just a moment."
    "It seemed to stop sinking?"
    "Yes sir."
    "And what happened.. after?"
"The great ships stern rose out into the air, fast."
    "The stern rose?"
"Yes sir. It was at a relatively low angle, until it suddenly began to shoot up. I saw people jumping out of the gangway doors, attempting to get away from the ship."
"And how long did it take the ship to rise, till it stopped?"
    "A minute, two at most."
    "And what happened after?"
"Again, it stopped. But the power went out. I heard distant screams from the ship"
"The ship stopped, the lights went out, and the ship again seemed to be still?"
    "Yes sir."
"And may you explain what happened, after the lights went out?"
"The great ship began to creek, and sounds came from it. Until I saw it split, right aft of the third funnel."
"So you saw the ship break in two?"
    "Yes sir."
    "Carry on."
"The bow, began to go under, and the stern rose again. Until it was at a 90 degree angle, and it paused. It was like a thumb sticking up."
"The stern was put to a 90 degree angle, and stopped sinking?"
"Yes sir, it even seemed to rise."
"What do you mean by rise?"
"Windows that were under the water became visible, for a few moments, before it began plunging into the water."
"And how long did it take the stern to sink entirely?"
"Minutes.. one or two, probably less."
"The stern sunk, remaining vertical the entire time?"
    "Yes sir."
