Correspondent DIPHU, 10 August’2021: Borlangpher-Langsoliet Youths (BLY) warned the ‘timber’ smugglers to stop cutting forest trees inside Borlangpher reserve forest. Anyone apprehended in the coming days, no excuses would be made to them; this was stated by the leaders of BLY during a press meeting held at the office of Ove Kimi, Langsoliet on Monday. The organization also stated, if any individual apprehended by the forest department should be properly intervene. Any organization found collecting money in the name of social organization in and around Borlangpher and Langsoliet should cease immediately. At the same time, leader also appealed the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) authority to develop the area while incomplete projects and schemes must be executed at the earliest. The press conference was attended by KSA Borlangpher Head branch President Sonjib Phangcho, General secretary Mongolsing Terang, KSYC-CEC Assistant General Secretary Biren Hanse, UKSA-CEC Finance Secretary Harsing Hanse and Langsoliet Development Committee Secretary Anada Timung. Along with them, KSA Inglongkiri Sub branch President Jiten Ronghang, Langsoliet Sports Association Secretary Sodar Bey, Ovemi Club Secretary Kolom Hanse, Ove Chingthur Club President Longki Dera and Secretary Kamsing Rongpi were also present.
