This Lecture is to describe the theoretical aspects, requirements and procedure for isolation of fungi from soil sample. This technique is particularly for isolation of those species which harbor soil in form of spores particularly.Soil suspension is prepared and inoculated on fungal culture medium followed by the incubation.
