Turbine-killed eels, Lower Shannon, December 2021

Turbine-killed eels on the Lower River Shannon, December 2021. These eels were found by local anglers on the shore of King's Island. They kindly allowed me to record this video before taking them away. Dead and dying eels are regularly collected below Ardnacrusha hydroelectric station to eat.
