From Elton John's 2006 album "The Captain and the Kid." The album was a follow-up to 1975's "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy." "Captain Fantastic" told the story of Elton John and Bernie Taupin first meeting and writing together, and about the struggles they went through to find their success. The album was a huge success, and considered by many to be among their very best work. The 2006 "Captain & the Kid" album picked up the story at the beginning of their success, and tells some of the stories of their struggles dealing with that success. Personally I consider this album also among their very best work. The writing, story-telling and performances are absolutely superb. This song tells of Elton and Bernie's special relationship with London, even through many changes, trends and scandals.
