Filmed from 2 different angles and with ATC audio. Myself and my First Officer fly our Boeing 737-800 into Tenerife South Airport. Due to Mt Teide in the centre of Tenerife, 2 seperate air masses circle the island, and often converge near Tenerife South Airport. As a result of these 2 converging air masses, we often experience "positive" windshear. This causes our speed to abruptly increase, sometimes past our flap limiting speed. When this happens, the flaps automatically retract. If we were past our 500 foot landing gate, and this happens, a go around would be required. This was a book which I wrote myself, from back in the days when I was flying Cessna Grand Caravans with Susi Air in Indonesia. If you're interested aviation, or even just like adventure, please consider buying my book.
